Cooperative Business Opportunities

Daedalus developed the ElderCare service based upon the information technology infrastructure that supports its other projects, which can be viewed at www.daedalushealth.com.

The business case for ElderCare is comprised of, at least, two of the most fundamental precepts of business: unfulfilled requirements and a cost effective solution.  Daedalus developed ElderCare in response to two principal factors: a requirement by a sector of our senior community and the increasing—and in some cases prohibitive—cost of companion care, not to mention the costs associated with institutionalization.

Daedalus will provide the ElderCare—or private label—service to cooperating businesses (and individual home care providers) without additional expense to participating partners.  There is no equipment to purchase or install.

Daedalus is confident that the ElderCare service can expand the scope and revenue-generating capacity of cooperating providers in the following ways:

  1) By offering an additional service for home-care firms to provide to their clients.

  2) Home care firms could be the first—or only—recipient of calls from their customers through use of the service—thereby ensuring use of their services, particularly in the case of individuals who do not have a social support structure.

  3) Since cost of in-home care is beyond the reach of many, except when absolutely necessary, home care firms could provide the monitoring service to potential clients and, thereby, enroll additional clients to receive expanded, in-home personal-care services on a contingency basis.  There are, at least, three benefits that accrue to clients and providers:

   a. Clients will receive the monitored care service and have the peace-of-mind that someone will respond appropriately when needed.

   b. Providers will receive a modest base of recurring income that is directly linked to an expanding contingency market.

   c.  Both parties can address administrative and contractual issues in the absence of pressure that is normally associated with having to seek in-home care.

  4) While Daedalus will concentrate upon building the ElderCare membership in the near term, a reciprocal relationship could result in which cooperating firms could become the affiliated home care arms of Daedalus, thereby leveraging collective marketing dollars in a more effective manner.
